Good to know

Seat the shank fully in the collet, then back it out a fraction before tightening, so the bit is clamped on the shank and not bottomed out. Take the profile in two shallower passes rather than one deep cut on hardwood, and move against the cutter rotation to keep the guide roller riding the edge instead of chattering along it.
